How do I increase the cache and what is the advantage of doing so?

In The Civil War Today's settings tab there is a slider which you can use to increase/decrease the cache for the app. Increasing the cache will increase the amount of memory allotted for the app from your iPad. As a result, content will load faster because it is stored locally.
